This Privacy Policy explains how Programmer Lab (SMC-Pvt.) Ltd (“Programmer Lab”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use programmerlab.co, our contact form, WhatsApp, email, or project estimator. It applies to this website and to business enquiries made through it. Paid project work is also covered by the written agreement for that work.
1. Who we are
Programmer Lab is a software company providing UI/UX design, web and mobile development, AI solutions, LMS platforms, healthcare software, SaaS, CRM and automation, SEO and digital marketing, cyber security, and related support.
We operate from the United Kingdom and Pakistan:
- UK address: Thistle St, Edinburgh New Town, Edinburgh, United Kingdom
- Pakistan address: Plaza No. 55, Block D Commercial, EME Society, Multan Road, Lahore, Pakistan
- Email: info@programmerlab.co
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers personal information we receive through this website and related enquiry channels. It does not replace a data processing agreement, confidentiality agreement, or statement of work for a client project.
This marketing website is not a patient portal, hospital system, or learning platform. We do not collect medical records, student records, payment card numbers, or login passwords through this site.
3. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and to run this website.
Information you give us
- Contact form: name, email address, phone number (optional), and your message
- Email: whatever you send to info@programmerlab.co
- WhatsApp: your phone number and the messages you send us
- Estimator: your name, the answers you select, the generated cost and timeline range, and optional email or phone if you add them. If you also email or WhatsApp the estimate, those messages include the same project details
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider may record standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the date and time of the request. We do not run advertising pixels, Google Analytics, or similar tracking tools on this website.
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may process your IP address when your browser requests those fonts.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Reply to consultation requests and project enquiries
- Share an indicative estimate when you ask for one
- Prepare a proposal or schedule a call if you want to proceed
- Keep records of business communications
- Protect the website, prevent spam and abuse, and meet legal duties
We do not sell personal information. We do not use enquiry data for unrelated marketing lists.
5. Legal bases
Depending on where you are and why we hold your data, we rely on one or more of the following:
- Taking steps at your request before a contract, or performing a contract
- Our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and operating this website, in a way that does not override your rights
- Consent, where you choose to contact us or share an estimate
- A legal obligation, if we must keep or disclose information
6. Form, estimator, email, and WhatsApp
The contact form is sent through FormSubmit, a third-party form service, to info@programmerlab.co. Do not put passwords, payment card numbers, medical records, or other highly sensitive data in the form.
When you finish the project estimator, we email the estimate (name, answers, cost range, timeline, and any optional email or phone you entered) to info@programmerlab.co through FormSubmit so we can follow up. Email and phone are optional — you can still see your estimate without giving them. If you also send the estimate by WhatsApp or email, that copy reaches us through those channels too.
If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
7. Healthcare, LMS, and other sensitive project topics
If your enquiry is about healthcare software, an LMS, or another system that may later handle sensitive data, treat the website form as a business enquiry only. Do not send patient, student, or staff personal files through this site.
Any later access to client systems or production data happens only under a written agreement, with access limited to what the project needs, and in line with our ISO/IEC 27001:2022 information security practices.
8. Cyber security enquiries
We only carry out security testing and related work with proper written authorisation from the system owner. Do not send us credentials, exploit details, or access to systems you are not authorised to share.
9. Who we share information with
We share personal information only where needed to operate this website or respond to you:
- FormSubmit, to deliver contact-form messages
- Our email provider, to send and receive mail
- WhatsApp / Meta, if you contact us there
- Namecheap (website hosting) and similar infrastructure providers
- Google, for website fonts
- Professional advisers or authorities if the law requires it
Client project subcontractors, cloud providers, or tools are named in the relevant project agreement when they are used for that work.
10. International transfers
We work from Pakistan and the United Kingdom. Some providers (including hosting, forms, fonts, and messaging) may process data in other countries, including the United States.
Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected and to use it only for the purposes in this policy.
11. How long we keep information
Enquiry records are kept only as long as needed to handle your request, maintain a reasonable business record, and meet legal or accounting requirements. We then delete or irreversibly anonymise them unless we must keep them longer.
Server logs are retained according to our hosting provider’s normal log rotation.
12. Security
We follow information security practices aligned with our ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, including limiting access to enquiry data and using reputable providers.
No website or email system is completely secure. Please use info@programmerlab.co or the contact form for ordinary business messages, not for secrets or regulated datasets.
13. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including UK data protection law where it applies), you may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete information we no longer need
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Withdraw consent where we relied on consent
To use these rights, email info@programmerlab.co. We may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to a data protection authority in your country. In the UK, that is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
14. Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar technical storage only, so the site can load, stay secure, and remember your place in the estimator during the current visit. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and we do not run Google Analytics or similar tools. Because of that, this website does not show a cookie consent banner.
The estimator keeps your answers in the current browser session so you can complete the steps. That data is not used to track you across other sites.
15. Children
This website is for business customers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.
16. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. The current version is always published at programmerlab.co/privacy.
17. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, email info@programmerlab.co. You can also write to us at either address listed in section 1.
